This Melanie Craig kitchen design and open plan living room was created for a house built by local architects Archi Build. This house received Gold and a Kitchen Excellence Award in the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Southern Regionals.
WALK THROUGH / Cabinetry and shelving speak harmoniously to each other in a variety of finishes / Deep glassy green finger tiles shimmer reflectively in the backdrop / Vertical black panelling gives a refined finish to receding areas / Ergonomic spatial flow between kitchen work zones, with all bases covered / Large island with ample room for everyday and entertaining / Clustered lighting echoes the long light over the dining area / Delicious pattered wallpaper peeks out from the laundry room + scullery / Black seating with elegant line is light in the space / Open plan living - a palette repeated for cohesion and visual harmony / Light wood panelling in the lounge softens the space for cosy evenings by the fire / A sunny space to read and relax with ample space for seasonal home styling / Wood burner and wood storage is mirrored outdoors in a continuous line.
REFINED / DETAILED
A rich pallet of green and black is accented with natural oak, with a particularly satisfying contrast between matte and gloss. Wood brings warmth to the heart of the kitchen, whilst letting the darker surfaces play off one another.
FEATURE / FUNCTION
This kitchen design features ample storage and all the mod cons, however the refinement of the design means these functional details are kept inline without busy-ness.
HOME STYLING
This interior design with a paired down palette creates spaces for personal expression through home styling. With minimal colour, breathing room is left for floral + foliage displays, objects d'art, and textiles.
