Matte Black Japanese Tableware Collection

A mottled black glaze highlighted with iridescent blue. Each piece has a unique dappled pattern determined by its position in the kiln during the firing process. 
 
Traditionally crafted by processes and techniques that have been used for generations, with the clay sourced by local makers from a huge basin within the Gifu Prefecture on the main island of Honshu. Each piece, no matter how similar, is unique in itself as it has been skilfully made and glazed by hand.
